Washing-machine inlet hoses, dryer vent ducting and cords, refrigerator water lines and gas connector pipes — stocked in store at 10216 Almeda Genoa Rd for same-day pickup, so a delivery does not stall waiting on a five-dollar part.
Most installations come down to three items. Washers need a pair of inlet hoses — choose braided stainless over rubber, because rubber degrades from the inside and a burst hose is one of the most common causes of household water damage. Dryers need vent ducting and, separately, a power cord, which is almost never supplied with the machine. Refrigerators with ice makers or water dispensers need a supply line run to the nearest valve.
Three-prong and four-prong dryer cords are not interchangeable, and which one you need depends on the outlet in your wall, not on the dryer. Homes wired from the mid-1990s onward generally use four-prong. Photograph the outlet behind your machine before you come in and we will match it correctly first time.
Every five years for rubber hoses, and sooner if you see bulging, cracking or rust at the fittings. Braided stainless hoses last considerably longer.
